Flobots - Handle Bars

I believe, at least for those not from around Denver, this is a pretty new discovery - at least it was for me. Anyway, I like this song from a hip-hop band called Flobots. Now, just liking a song isn’t enough of a reason for me to post about it. The reason for this post is this: have you ever heard a song that you thought was more ripe for parody? I mean, this songs practically begs that Weird Al Yankovic does a cover of it.

The video and song below are not official versions. According to the YouTube page I got this from, “The video was made in 2006 to the first version of the song. A friend of the band, Iyabo made the video as her final project at film school at New York University. The band just signed with Universal Republic Records (yea!) and will most likely be releasing a newer music video for the song sometime soon.”

#2:
Story

For item number 2, I am
a.) glad the doctors weren’t ridiculing me
b.) glad there isn’t a video of me on YouTube getting ridiculed by doctors (video has been removed)
c.) glad I didn’t wake up with a body spray canister jammed inside my rectum

Great sign

Scientology: one less member

April 17, 2008 By: Mr. Wisdumb Category:  religion, video No Comments →

Jason Beghe, somewhat famous actor, departs Scientology and is talking about it… story as reported on Fox.com here. What’s extra interesting about this is that the Youtube video referenced in the story has already been taken down… in less than one day.

What power do the Xenu faithful have? If you notice, Scientology contains all the letters in the word ‘google’. Of course, it is missing one ‘g’, but I say close enough… add it to the “Mysteries of the Unknown”:

Ben Stein: No Intelligence Allowed

April 03, 2008 By: Mr. Wisdumb Category:  religion, skepticism, video, movies 2 Comments →

I’d like to write about the very hot topic that is the “Ben Stein: No Intelligence Allowed” movie, but as I have not seen it yet, and I do not want to base any of my opinions on the many different articles I have read about it from the two major sides of the issue (Darwinists/Evolutionists vs. Intelligent Design/Creationists), I have decided to only comment on the trailers I have seen.

As such, my comment is this: Ben Stein is such a pompous, self-important and egotistical tool.

As I won’t fund this film by paying to see it, my review of it will have to wait until a free version circulates the web or at least until I get it via my Blockbuster.com account.
